I was at WBC in Lancaster PA for three days recently. My Thursday night talk about game design had a pretty good attendance, perhaps slightly less than when it is on the weekend (I couldn't be there at the weekend this year).
A review of Dragon Rage appeared in a British blog:

My piece on "The Three Player Problem" is the first chapter in the book.
Thanks for your contribution to the book. I enjoyed, and am still pondering, your take on the three-player problem. I have tried my hand at it a few times, and it is tricky. I do feel you've helped clear my thinking on the matter, though, and for that I'm very grateful.
ReplyDeleteI just finished the book and really enjoyed your chapter. Are there any other articles/books you could recommend that deal with the nuts and bolts of game design? (other than your two blogs of course)
ReplyDeleteBy mid-October I'll finish a book about learning to design games that is scheduled to be published by McFarland. If you can get back issues of Against the Odds magazine I have several articles about design there. There are some design articles posted on my Web site. And links to articles on Gamasutra and GameCareerGuide.
